Woman Starved Dog and Cat To Death After Moving Into Boyfriends House – She Got Jailed!

To be starving is a terrible feeling, but to starve to death must truly be one of the worse ways to suffer. This 26-year-old woman had starved both her cat and dog to death, in her apartment in Boynton Beach in May.

On Wednesday the woman, called Ashley Alicia, pleaded guilty to two counts of unlawful abandonment and felony cruelty to animals.

Her Pomeranian-Chihuahua mix, brown in color and called Moose and her grey and white cat called Pablo were both dead, the judge ruled that the woman spend the next six months in jail?!

Judge Samantha Schosberg Feuer, a circuit judge, withheld a finding of guilt, in the case based on the agreement between Assistant State Attorney Judith Arco and defense attorney Ron Herman then sentenced her to six months in jail with an additional two years of probation after that.

Looking at Alicia’s arrest report it looks like police first contacted her in May after neighbors reported smelling a foul odor of death and seeing flies swarm around the windows of her apartment.

Police report that they received contradicting stories, first she told them she was out of state, then at her parent’s house in Orlando, then somewhere around Delray Beach?

In the end, she admitted that she moved to her boyfriend’s place in Boca Raton in January and that a man named either Austin or Tyler had talked over her apartment, he just had to pay the water bills and the electricity, she would pay the rent!?

She told police that animals were not allowed in her boyfriend’s place, so she left them to stay with the guy called either Austin or Tyler in her apartment. She said that she hadn’t actually told the new tenant to look after her cat and dog, but “figured that he would since she was paying rent.”

A vet who conducted the examination of the animals said that they died from lack of water and food!

After all, this is six months in jail really doesn’t seem like enough to me, tell us what you think in the comments…
