Slim Finally Gives Up His Favorite Bucket And Finds His Forever Family!

Slim, A shelter dog has been waiting such a long time to be adopted by someone. In fact, he has been waiting nearly a whole year. With a funny twist, Slim’s favorite toy happens to be a bucket…

Rescue Me Ohio said that Slim “loves his bucket and is lost without it!!”

The pit bull mix breed was rescued from an abandoned house back in December 2014, he was so thin he was all skin and bone! They took him to the rescue center where he has been staying ever since that day, in Ashland County Dog Shelter, in Ohio.

Rescue Me Ohio writes: – “He is approximately 4 to 5 years old, a Pit Bull mix. He has a lot of energy and charm. And he had some food guarding issues that the shelter staff and volunteers have worked with and he has come a long way. He loves attention and loves to play.”

“Also, he is a very strong boy too who does not have the best of leash manners. He is anxious in the shelter and has destroyed most of the toys he’s been given.”

“But his favorite toy is his Bucket!!! And he loves his bucket and is lost without it!! He sits like a perfect gentleman for a treat and takes them so nicely.”

“He will need a home that will continue to work on these manners he has learned. Slim really needs a rescue to take him in and give him time to decompress after all this shelter time.”

Slim, was eventually taken to foster care by “Forget Me Not Animal Rescue” sometime later towards the end of October 2015, still, with his favorite bucket we must say!

“Forget Me Not Animal Rescue” took good care of Slim and looked to work with him to not only find him a permanent home but to give him some valuable training too!

Slim really does love his life and he loves his new foster family so incredibly much that he is beginning to forget about his favorite bucket, it must be good! Slim loves his bed, but more that, more than anything else in the world, he loves all the newfound attention he is receiving.

Slim is getting 100% positive training, and he seems to be really enjoying it, but let’s be honest what he really wants is a forever family!

Update: October 2016

As seen on ‘Forget Me Not Animal Rescue’ website, it looks like Slim has an adoption pending, so it looks like he has finally been adopted!
