This is the moment a dog shoots across a lawn after American police Taser it – while trying to arrest his owner. The altercation, which happened in broad daylight, was captured on the police cars dashcam.
The owner of what appears to be a Rottweiler, is seen talking on the phone before one officer walks from the direction of the police car and begins to reach for his belt.
The dog is happily sniffing around the bin near the curb, until both police officers start to attempt arrest. Once he sees his owner involved in the sticky situation, the anxious dog starts to jump up and bark at one of the officers.
Within seconds the officer aims his taser at the dog, which subsequently shoots backwards across the lawn and out of of the camera’s sight.
The owner is then dragged to the ground as the officers can be heard telling him to ‘stop resisting arrest’.
The bearded man is heard screaming ‘what is going on?’ and ‘why am I under arrest? I haven’t done anything wrong.’
One officer uses his knee to keep the mans neck pinned to the road side as he continues to scream out. The law enforcers can be heard telling him to ‘cooperate’ as the dog owner continues to be confused as to why he is being arrested.
He can be heard say ‘you just shot my dog, what is going on? I don’t know what is going on?’
The tape also picks up one of the officers saying ‘we have one in custody’.
As the youngster, who is handcuffed, is taken out of sight of the camera he can be heard asking if he is ‘under suspicion of burglary’.
It’s not clear what happened to the dog.
