Mother Dog Claws Through Concrete To Rescue Puppies After House Collapsed

The mother dog was sniffing around and digging under the dirt until the man pulled her puppies to safety.

Incredible video (at the end of the article) has emerged of a dog desperately trying to save her puppies from a collapsed house.

Mobile phone footage released by charity Animal Aid Unlimited shows the dog joining in the rescue mission in Rajasthan, northern India.

Her litter was buried underneath the foundation of the collapsed home.

The pooch can be seen sniffing around and frantically clawing at the debris while a man tries to locate the puppies.

She continues to join in the search operation and then refuses to leave the site.

Rescuers took turns digging to clear the dirt and slabs until a tiny gap appeared. The dogs can then be heard whimpering.

The heroes then safely removed the dogs from under the rubble.

The devoted mum excitedly wags her tail as they emerge.

The puppies, which are believed to be just weeks old, emerge covered in mud and dirt.

As soon as they are pulled to safety, they are returned to their mother to feed.

It is not clear what caused the structure to fail.

Building collapses are a regular occurrence in India due to prolonged heavy rains during the rain season and poor building regulations.

Earlier this month, two people died and three others were injured when a building collapsed in New Delhi.
