Meet Trinity. Her story is probably not a happy one, at least to begin with. She was found abandoned after a long history of abuse by the Best Friends Animal Society.
The dog was only two years old, but the vets who treated her found that she had been so badly hurt that it would take a long time for her to recover. If she ever did.
She had scars all over her body. There were deep wounds on her chest and legs which had become virulently infected.
The skin on her face had been shredded from what appeared to be fighting with other dogs.
It might come as a surprise in this day and age of animal rights, but there are still illegal dog fights going on around the world, even here in the U.S.A.
Trinity’s vets believed that she’d been involved in this sport and then been dumped when she no longer had any value except as a victim.
The folks at Best Friends Animal Society had their work cut out for them. They needed to make sure that if Trinity healed, that she was healed spiritually and emotionally as well as having her physical needs taken care of.
As you can see, Trinity’s a lot happier today than when she arrived at the Best Friends Animal Society.
She has, in fact, made an incredible recovery. She has finally found the loving touch of decent human beings and it has made all the difference in the world to this little dog’s life.
Far from the cowering, quivering wreck when she was found. Trinity now runs around and plays and lives life to the fullest.
It’s amazing what a little love can do in someone’s life. Why not reach out and share this story with someone who could use a little inspiration today?
