A cruel teenage gang set dog on fire, broke his neck and fed him drugs!

Chunky, the poor Chihuahua was attacked for hours in one of the most disturbing cases an Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) officer had described as one of the worst they have ever seen.

A gang of three drugged-up teenagers, aged 15 and 16, stole Chunky from his home and tortured him for hours.

They admitted kicking and punching the Chihuahua before breaking his leg and neck; they then set him on fire, fed him drugs and dumped him the next day in a rubbish bin in Margate, Kent, in February.

They dumped him thinking he was dead when they left him.

Luckily, and miraculously, the dog survived the suffering.

“This was the most disturbing case I have ever dealt with, by an absolute mile,” said RSPCA officer Caroline Doe.

“These youths admitted feeding him drugs, kicking and punching him, and wringing and breaking his neck before dumping him” explained Doe.

“They also said they set fire to his face and eyes after lighting a deodorant aerosol can.

The whole thing sends shivers down my spine.”

Due to their ages, they were all disqualified from keeping all animals for five years, given a referral order for 12 months and ordered to pay costs.

The three teenagers pleaded guilty in October to cruelly ill-treating the animal in a way which they knew would cause him to suffer.

One of the youths was made to pay £1,000 and the other two £500.

Thankfully, Chunky, returned to his owner and he is now back to full health!
