Beaten With Weeping Wounds, Left In A Dumpster To Die!

Iris, a sweet one year old puppy has had a bad start to her life, she was found in a dumpster at the rear of a shopping mall in Raytown, Missouri. She was in terrible shape and had been just left in a dumpster, the rescuers could not even tell what breed she was…

She was found near last part of October and taken quickly to a non-profit shelter called the ‘Midwest Animal ResQ’ shelter, she had many injuries and was quite sick.

The poor pup had mange and looks to have been badly beaten with infected skin, weeping wounds and had suffered blood loss.

Erin Morse, the shelter’s president, said: – “To get her into the condition she is in now, it took months”

The staff at the shelter were so shocked that they decided to offer a $5000 reward for any information that leads to the capture and arrest of the perpetrator!

There hasn’t been any news yet, but Eric Morse is determined to find justice for the defenseless vulnerable animal.

It’s a proven fact that there’s a definite link between cruelty to animals and cruelty to humans, no matter if your an animal lover or not, this person is truly dangerous!

The New York State Humans Association says that nearly 70% of violent criminals had begun by being cruel and torturous to animals, Northeastern University study found that:

“…animal abusers were five times more likely to commit violent crimes against people, four times more likely to commit property crimes, and three times more likely to have a record for drug or disorderly‐conduct offenses”

It’s becoming more evident and accepted that animal cruelty will need to be reclassified from a misdemeanor to a felony, by both police and the FBI.

These offenses are eventually, it is thought, be thought of more along the lines of arson and murder.

Hundreds of people have kindly donated towards Iris’s medical care, deeply touched and saddened by her plight.

She really has far to go, still, her white blood cell count is low, her wounds are still open to infection, and she will need a toe amputated by the vet. However, she now has put on some weight and has since proved to be a loving and kind doggie.

Adopt Don’t Shop KC said that “Iris has a huge heart”, which is a charity which encourages adoption and helps to raise money for shelters said on Facebook:

“Her will to survive is visible when you look into her eyes. All she wants is to be loved…”

We hope that Iris will flourish into a wonderful companion and go to a loving family, and they will understand and her her after her horrific ordeal.

You can donate to help with her care via Midwest Animal ResQ’s website. If you have any information about her abuser, please message their Facebook page.
