Hero dog saves 10-year-old child: Assailant shocked when pup jumps him

In Prince William County, Virginia, a hero dog saved his young human from an assailant as the stranger tried to kidnap the child.

According to authorities, the girl’s dog bit the man in the arm who then immediately released the child and ran away.

A statement on Facebook from the Prince William County Police Department described the suspect as a “Hispanic male”, of unknown age.

The man is thought to be 5’3″, 145 pounds, thin, having short brown hair and a goatee. He was last seen wearing a white striped shirt and light colored pants.

“At approximately 3:50 pm, the victim, a 10-year-old girl, was reportedly walking her dog in the 1800 block of Heather Glenn court in Woodbridge when an unknown man approached her and grabbed her arm.”

The police report continued; stating the child’s dog bit the assailant, and at that point he released her and fled. Fortunately the child was not injured.

Police K-9 have been searching the area, however no one has been found.

Authorities continue to search for the suspect and are asking the public to keep their eyes open and report any suspicious activity.
